It's a JUNGLE in there!

SO, I am just mildly obsessed with animal prints, if I'm being modest.  Not only do I think they look amazing to wear, I think they not only belong, but DESERVE to make a debut in your home decor.  Now you don't have to go all out and design your house as if you are living in the Sahara, but you can add accents here and there such as pictures, frames, candles, pillows, and throw, or a rug to spice up your decor and make it a little WILD. If you are wondering some of the best places to look for knick knacks here and there, Home Goods is always a good place to browse.  Something a little more unique, try Etsy out.  (the heart zebra prints were actually found there).  Another great website that has a ton to choose from and where all the rest of our fun examples come from is www.animalprintessentials.com. GO WILD!

Winter White Wonderland

(Chanel Iman; one of my faves)

White isn't just for Labor to Memorial Day anymore, Fashionistas! It makes sense that white be incorporated year round, as its one of those staples that goes with EVERYTHING! It goes magically with the landscape of snowy hills, I imagine blending right in if I have to succumb to the cold wintry weather.  Winter white generally is a hue between bright white and a cream color, so its a little more subtle than your traditional white (although that works with this trend as well). You can go all out and do a full white outfit from head to toe, or if you are still wary about the old school rule of no white after Labor Day, you can start small.  That's the great thing about fashion! You can pick how far you want to go.  Maybe incorporate a white coat into your wardrobe, or do a white suit; or jeans with black shoes or boots.  White looks amazing with a little fur, real or faux, however you choose to style it!  So go ahead and enjoy the Winter White Wonderland!

Gimme the BOOT, Gimme the BOOT

Over the Knee Boots are not only super trendy, but they are amazingly functional.  They are a great way to keep your gams warm in the colder months, especially if you are wanting to wear a dress or skirt and tights or stockings just won't do.   Many over the knee boots have a killer stiletto high heel on them, which may prove tricky (and dangerous) to pull off in inclement winter weather. Jeffery Campbell has some great casual choices I've found, that you can dress up or down. I also added some heeled versions because they are just essential. Here, I've rounded up some of his options. Get in on this!  Now keep those legs warm and get addicted to over-the-knee boots!

Remember the Tartans

I am MAD for PLAID... and so are some of my favorite designers for this season.  From Marc Jacobs to Christian Louboutin, you can find these trendy Tartans from head to toe, literally! For this look, you can go full out with a Tartan suit and blend beautifully with the Scotts, or you can just add a piece such as a pant, jacket, pencil skirt, scarf, or shoe.  However you decide to incorporate this look, it can be dressed up or down, and looks great with denim, leather, or any other staple you may have in your closet.  So don't forget to Remember the Tartans when you are getting dressed!

ALL GOLD EVERYTHING!!

This year is just flying by... as we are already amongst the Holiday season! Lots of dinners, gatherings, parties, family, and don't forget spending money (*sigh*).  Keeping warm and looking regal this holiday season only requires one thing this A/W..... GOLD! Metallics are certainly in this A/W season, and this color specifically can be incorporated into your looks for your holiday gear in a variety of ways, you can go simplistic with gold jewelry (chains are really hot), gold nail polish, or you can go full out with a gold dress, pantsuit, or exquisite shoes! Don't skip on the gold, and pay homage to Royal Ancient Egypt in the process. They never skimped on the GOLD!

Go GOLD or Go Home!!!

Hot Hues... Fall's best colors

Fall is amongst us and its time we re-evaluate our closets to match the changing seasons (and weather).  Fall is full of traditional crisp, yet warm hues.  However, just because the days are getting shorter doesn't mean we have to go all drab.  Some of the hottest hues this fall are COBALT and ARMY GREEN.  Adding these hot hues to your fall wardrobe is sure to keep you fresh and spicy during the cooler months.

These colors also can be paired together for a cool combo... Think bright cobalt pumps with a rugged cargo style army green pant. Give these colors a try, they will definitely spruce up your Fall wardrobe!

Greetings all!! Welp, I've finally made the big step! My first blog. I realized it was probably necessary to channel my thoughts and ideas and be able to share! Well, for me, fashion is like a drug.  I get high off beautiful garments, sky high gorgeous stilettos, decadent and chunky jewelry.... It is a crazy euphoria.  Well, considering this, I have a pretty significant closet (that its about time to edit but I will let you all know when that happens because there will be a closet sale *wink*), thus I needed to figure out the best way to organize it.  I actually have decided, since I live alone, to turn my second bedroom into a closet!  Something that will not be an entirely difficult project, I plan to keep it simple.  But the possibilities are endless!!
