Style Profile: Sex and the City

I'm pretty sure all my fashion lovers out there consider Sex and the City a Style Bible, with the characters weary everything from classy and conservative to over the top haute couture to suit every fashionista's style.  I was reading about Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw as I'll forever know and love her as) starting her own shoe line a few months ago, and it took me down memory lane.  I pulled out my DVD's and starting watching some reruns to get a little fashion fix. Splurge or Steal

I love me a good v-neck, because of course it elongates the neck and complements most body types, from flat chested to busty.  Here is a beautiful version from Rag and Bone, but with the whopping price of $395, I figured we could all do much better.  But isn't it lovely in classic black and white?

The Nude Navy

What better way to start this post off than to have someone that has her own Navy rock the look that is both classic and fairly unexpected?  Navy is everything, and it can be overlooked in fashion unless we are talking business suit.  However, considering it is a POWER color, try incorporating it into your wardrobe more.  And a color that best complements navy I believe is a nude one, because no one outfit should have all that POWER. (Hey Yeezy).  Check out these modern navy looks below:

COAT CHECK

As the blistering cold approaches... you may find yourself more interested in being warm than being fashionable. Don't worry, we all go through it.  The best way to ensure you stay warm during the arctic winter months (if you live in a sunshiny area then don't rub it in!) is to grab the perfect warm coat!  The best options for this season are fur (or faux) coats, long overcoats, and puffer jackers.  Furs are unbelievably warm! But if a full on fur is too much for you, you can get one with just a fur collar, your neck will be toasty. Overcoats are a great way to keep warm, and you can try a basic shade or grab one in a beautiful color such as purple or blue! Puffer coats are always warm, make sure the one you choose has down feathers for the extra toast effect. Whatever coat you decide, make sure to bundle up!

SO, I am just mildly obsessed with animal prints, if I'm being modest.  Not only do I think they look amazing to wear, I think they not only belong, but DESERVE to make a debut in your home decor.  Now you don't have to go all out and design your house as if you are living in the Sahara, but you can add accents here and there such as pictures, frames, candles, pillows, and throw, or a rug to spice up your decor and make it a little WILD.
